Phaltan is about 110 kilometers from Pune and very well connected. Buses for Phaltan leave from Station and Swargate bus-stops in Pune. There are buses every half an hour from both places. The frequency decreases after 5 p.m. Buses going to Pandharpur, Mhaswad, Atpadi and Gondavle all go via Phaltan. It takes three hours from Pune by bus and two and a half hours by private vehicle. All the buses from southern Maharashtra come via Satara which is 65 kilometers from Phaltan and has buses for Phaltan every hour. It takes one and a half hour by bus.

 

By train

The nearest Railway station is Nira. There are frequent buses from Nira as it is on the Pune Phaltan road.

 

By Plane

The nearest airport is in Pune. Pune is connected to Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmadabad, Bengaluru and Hyderabad by air.
